Mystics and Yogis from India have passed along the ancient practice of the Bhundas and given initiations into Kundalini practices that have induced deep states of ecstasy, profound feelings of awakening, and enlightenment.
Mula Bhunda is the Sanskrit word for “Root Lock” and it refers to the practice of engaging the perineum muscle and tendon.
When you engage this muscle and tendon, it begins to put gentle pressure on the base of the spine. Doing this repeatedly begins to awaken the Kundalini energy at the base of the spine.
The Sacral Chakra is located just above the Root Chakra and you can engage Utti Unabhunda or the Sacral Lock by tilting your pelvic forward and engaging your lower abs muscles around and just above your pubic bone.
By Using the Root and Sacral locks combined with specific breathwork, you can use your physical body like a battery to generate or create a Kundalini- Shakti pump that increases Prana - Life-force energy - in the Root and Sacral Chakras, which stimulates the Kundalini energy to awaken.
WATCH The Perineum Practice Video. Look-up a picture of the perineum and become familiar with where it is in your body. Practice engaging your PC (perineum) Root Lock several times. Use this practice throughout the day to help you get down into your body and feel grounded.
