About

Hi, I'm Jaime Triana. I have been playing music all of my life.

The Latin Roots album is a collection of latin songs from the early 1900's

El Condor Pasa -The Condor Passes, is an orchestral musical piece from the zarauela El Condor Pasa, written in 1913. Peru has declared this song as their second national anthem. In 1970 Simon and Garfunkel made a popular version of it called “If I Could”.
Malagueña, written by Cuban composer Ernesto Lecuona in 1928. Performed by many artists and widely popular in Latin America and abroad, Malagueña is indeed a treasure of Latin culture.
Alfonsina Y El Mar – Alfonsina And The Sea, and homage to the Swiss/Argentine poet Alfonsina Storni (1892-1938), one of the most important Argentine and Latin American poets of the modernist period. Her unfortunate departure inspired Felix Luna to write a beautiful final account of the poet who walked toward to the sea and never returned.
Volver – Returning, composed and performed by Argentina’s beloved Carlos Gardel (1890-1935). The most prominent figure in the history of tango, Carlos Gardel was a French Argentine singer, songwriter, composer and actor.
